Job Details:The Ethics & Compliance Department is seeking an experienced candidate to identify and assess regulatory compliance risk across Tyson’s enterprise and in conjunction with potential merger and acquisition activity. The candidate will also work with internal stakeholders to appropriately manage, mitigate, and remediate identified regulatory risks by enhancing or developing policies, processes, technical guidance, internal controls, and training programs relative to identified regulatory risks. A primary responsibility of the role will be conducting periodic risk assessments as a part of continuous improvement for Tyson’s overall regulatory compliance program. The successful candidate will also work with other internal stakeholders on regulatory change management and collaborate with them to build compliance infrastructure that addresses regulatory change, new products and processes, and emerging markets. Candidate should be able to work independently, but also be comfortable collaborating and building relationships with a multitude of groups across the enterprise.This position reports directly to the Lead Counsel for Regulatory Compliance, Office of Programs & Training. REQUIREMENTS: Education : Law degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.Experience : 5+ years of legal experience, with emphasis on Ethics, Compliance and Investigations. Computer Skills : Standard computer skills.Communication Skills : Superior written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate with senior leadership. This position must effectively and timely communicate with internal clients and demonstrate the ability to provide strategic legal counsel with respect to risk assessment and remediation.Special Skills : Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. This position relies on extensive experience and sound judgment to independently plan and accomplish goals. Experience working in a highly-regulated industry is preferred.
