Responsibilities
Records patient’s rhythm every 2 hours on appropriate form.
Documents ectopy and/or other transient rhythms.
Obtains representative rhythm strip every 8 hours, analyzes and mounts for patient record.
Records rhythm strip to document significant changes in rate and/or rhythm.
Delivers representative rhythm strips and copy of unit telemetry log to assigned unit
Documents pulse oximetry readings every 8 hours.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent
Medical background
Successful completion of Dysrthythmia competency.
