Business Project Manager to join our team.

NIC Arkansas’ mission is to expand digital access to government services for citizens and businesses of Arkansas. That growth is fueled by our Business Project Managers (that’s you), who execute new projects and retain existing services. As a Business Project Manager, you smoothly deliver new revenue-generating products and grow digital government services in Arkansas. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with Arkansas government partners, serving as their trusted advisor, project manager and connection to the NIC Arkansas team. You own the relationships, communication and success with your partners.
  • Own the project management process and drive the successful, timely and smooth delivery of digital government projects from initial discussions through to launch, tightly orchestrating the work of our technology, design, customer service and product teams
  • Produce clear, detailed and thorough project documentation to include scope documents, specifications, plans and schedules, requirements, testing and deployment plans
  • Thoroughly test services, document software bugs and coordinate their resolutions
  • Learn new digital government products and technologies, and implement them for your partners
  • Plan and present reports on account performance, goals and initiatives to partner leadership
  • Expand existing partner relationships and drive new opportunities with prospective agencies

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business, communication or related field preferred; 4 years of experience in project or account management or similar role required. Proven results in delivering client solutions.
  • Must live in the Central Arkansas area and be available for occasional in-person partner meetings
  • Tech savvy, advanced computer skills, and experience with project management software and MS Office. Excel skills and knowledge of SQL and programming are a plus.
  • Must be self-directed, take initiative and able to handle responsibilities with minimal oversight
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to forge strong, lasting relationships and work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be a keen listener, crisp presenter, and clear/concise writer.
  • Strong organization, planning and prioritization skills. Must be able to manage time efficiently and independently with a high degree of ownership, accountability and personal responsibility
  • Exceptional customer service skills. Able to handle difficult personalities and situations, and exude genuine warmth, empathy and a can-do attitude under pressure
  • Must be able to consult with partners by understanding their problems and needs, and proposing alternative solutions that are not necessarily what the partner requested
  • Able to make hard decisions guided by a strong sense of doing what’s right
  • Able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while delivering high quality work
