Staff Accountant

Description We are in search of a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team situated in North Little Rock, Arkansas. This role involves assisting with general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, overseeing Accounts Payable, and maintaining the Fixed Asset subledger. This position provides a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and data entry of monthly general ledger journal entries for various corporations. Conduct reconciliation of general ledger accounts and assist with other necessary reconciliations. Review Accounts Payable batches before posting to the General Ledger. Prepare revenue entries for multiple corporations and assist with the annual audit by providing necessary information. Propose policies, practices, and procedures that can enhance cost-effectiveness and efficiency of daily operations. Complete daily cash journal entries and ensure they are finished by the subsequent Monday. Convert information from Patient Software to a usable form in Accounting Software to prepare deposits for Medicare/Medicaid/private insurance. Assist Accounts Payable by preparing large vendor spreadsheets for payment as needed and inputting nursing home invoices into the Accounting Software. Prepare back up for the monthly settlement (Due to/Due From) for payment between related corporations in a timely manner. Maintain the Fixed Asset subledger, record addition, disposal, gain/loss entries into the general ledger, and manage the scanning and depositing of daily checks received. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. Experience with Bank Reconciliations. Solid knowledge of General Ledger operations. Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries. Experience with Month End Close procedures. Familiarity with NetSuite software. Proficiency in using Oracle for financial functions. Experience with QuickBooks accounting software. Knowledge of SAP for business operations.
