Lead DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

    • Design, implement, test, and maintain tools and processes for all operational aspects of hosting services in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
    • Work closely with tech leads to define and implement operational metrics and dashboards.
    • Work closely with developers and machine learning engineers to ensure the security, reliability, performance, and scalability of the cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and hosted services.
    • Evangelize a DevOps culture of automation, self-service, infrastructure as code, and engineering best practices to enable engineering teams to go from development to deployment with a minimum effort.

Requirements

    • Bachelor of Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
    • Minimum 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
    • Experience with one or more Cloud Computing Services such as Google Cloud Platform (preferred), Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.
    • Experience working on teams with a heavy emphasis on DevOps and Site Reliability mindset.
    • Experience with container orchestration such as Kubernetes (preferred), AWS ECS, or equivalent.
    • Experience with Ops tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, etc. to build automation, monitoring, dashboard, alerts, etc.
    • Experience managing CI/CD and practising infrastructure as code using Terraform, or equivalent.
    • Nice to have experiences managing machine learning pipelines using Airflow, AWS SageMaker, or Azure ML.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
    • Passion and drive to stay up to date with technology and engineering best practices.
