“A Simple Gesture” Registration Specialist

“A Simple Gesture” is a home food donation program that is highly successful in parts of the United States. Last year we collected 4.5 million pounds of food from 45,000 donors. The program is only in 1% of America, we are implementing it in the other 99%. Once finished, we will be bringing in more than 800 million pounds of food, enough to make a significant difference in food insecurity.

The program is as simple as the name suggests; a donor places a bag of food on their doorstep each month or every other month, and volunteer drivers pick it up and take it to a local pantry. The food donated in a city stays in that city.

If you care about this cause, this is a great way for you to earn some well deserved income and to contribute in a massive way. We are currently focused on San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Lake Counties.

Your job would be to register new donors. This is done using what we call an “incentive campaign”. Our software creates a unique QR code and URL for each campaign. Anyone that registers with that QR code or URL link will be tracked in our software.

The way it works is; for each person that registers with that campaign code, and that leaves a bag of food on their doorstep, you would receive $2. It may not sound like much, but please keep reading.

A campaign can be any one of dozens of things. There is really no end to how creative you could be. Here are some examples;

1. Put a special URL code (that we supply to you) and send it to every friend you have. Ask them to resend it to their friends. In that email explain a worthy cause that you are passionate about. Maybe it’s the American Cancer Society, or Humane Society, or a food pantry, or any charitable cause. In your email explain how great our program is, and how great your cause is. For everyone that registers, we will pay to that charitable cause $5. We add up the #’s and write a check to that cause and send to you to give them, or we send direct to them, up to you. And we pay you $2 as a 1099 contractor.

2. You go to any local merchant that cares about the community and wants to look good at the same time; You set up a 5x7 card holder (we provide to you the holder and the cards). The cards have a unique QR code for that merchant. It offers to take $10 off their purchase at the register if they register for A Simple Gesture on the spot, they need to show the merchant the “Registration Complete” page on their smart phone. ASG agrees to pay that merchant $5 for each donor that registers and leaves out a bag of food, and we pay you $2.

3. Any book club, garden club, hobby group, professional group, social group that meets and does things is a candidate. They all have a need for funds; perhaps a garden club that grows vegetables to sells to charity needs money for supplies. Or a book club wants to put a library box at the end of a driveway…. It’s the same idea. You give them a unique URL and QR code (that we supply to you), for each person that registers and leaves a bag out; we give their club $5, and you $2.

You can apply this model to literally anyone, any business, anything. Everyone you know is a candidate to register donors. Our goal is simply to get 1000’s of donors registered. You may be asking, why would we pay money? There are two answers; First, we have a great sponsor, the Redwood Credit Union, that is funding the money we provide. And 2nd, for each donor that registers and starts to donate, our data shows we get 50 times return or more over the next 5 years.
