Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field
4 years of experience working in data analysis, cyber security, or anti-abuse
Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation workflows, database design, and experience in one additional scripting/programming language (e.g. Python)
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with machine learning
Experience in deriving actionable insights, root-causes and intelligence from complex data sources
Domain knowledge in abuse protection, security, malware, network engineering, or Android related topics
Ability to understand complex engineering systems and processes
Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration
Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels. Excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail and focus on getting things done

And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.As an Account and Product Protections Analyst, you will focus on developing and evaluating new signals and approaches to detect abusive users and actions across all platforms. You will closely collaborate with the broader Trust and Safety teams and our engineering partners to develop detection systems and ways to mitigate abuse, to continuously monitor changing trends in the abuse ecosystem, and to use the existing data sources better to augment existing systems. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Perform in-depth data analysis and look for patterns and trends to identify potential new security issues, understand attack vectors and build detection systems, and perform root-cause analyses on detected abusive incidents
Transform data into intelligence to prevent, detect, and mitigate abuse
Design, develop, and maintain reliable data-processing infrastructure, metrics, and dashboards
Evaluate the impact and quality of new signals on various account-related products across Google
Review or be exposed to sensitive content as part of core role. Participate in on call rotation
