Accountant

Description Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting team as an Accountant. While no formal degree is required, candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including but not limited to three-way matching, vendor communications, check runs, and familiarity with accrual and expense reports. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Syteline, Excel (particularly pivot tables), and certified accounting software is highly desirable.Responsibilities:

Perform three-way match of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.

Manage communications with vendors, including reconciling discrepancies and resolving issues.

Conduct weekly check runs, averaging 50-60 checks per run, along with manual checks as necessary.

Maintain accurate accrual records and generate expense reports as needed.

Requirements

Top Three Most Important Skills/Experience:

QuickBooks and Syteline Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks and Syteline accounting software, including the ability to navigate efficiently and utilize advanced features.

Excel Skills (Pivot Tables): Strong proficiency in Excel, with the ability to create and manipulate pivot tables to analyze financial data effectively.

Certified Software Knowledge: Familiarity with certified accounting software and a track record of utilizing it to streamline accounting processes and ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Familiarity with accrual accounting and expense reporting.
