Accountant Assistant

Description We are looking for an Accountant Assistant to join our team in Monterey, California. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations.Responsibilities: Manage and support both accounts payable and receivable functions Analyze financial information to identify any discrepancies Collaborate with staff and vendors to resolve financial discrepancies in a timely manner Maintain and manage digital and physical financial records Ensure the confidentiality of all financial data Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards Use accounting software, such as QuickBooks, for efficient financial management Handle ledger and manage COD transactions Utilize skills in General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and QuickBooks to maintain accurate records and process customer credit applications. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accountant or similar role Proficiency in General Ledger management Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong oral and written communication abilities Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in work Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
