Description We are seeking an Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the health and nutrition technology industry. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide array of financial operations, including the maintenance of financial reports, records, and general ledgers, as well as the preparation and analysis of budgets.Responsibilities: Carry out routine accounting tasks and activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Prepare and post journal entries related to inventory, accruals, prepayments, and other financial transactions Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, inventory records, and inter-company transactions Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes, ensuring all financial data is correct and up to date Create periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc., to inform financial decision-making Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual audit schedules, ensuring all required information is readily available Contribute to the budgeting process, providing accurate financial data and forecasts Participate in the improvement of our processes by analyzing current workflows and proposing improvements Utilize accounting software such as Netsuite and tools like Microsoft Excel effectively to perform daily tasks and generate reports. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and NetSuite Familiarity with ERP Solutions Proficient in Account Coding Ability to perform Account Analysis and Accounting Entries Knowledge of Accounting Functions and Account Reconciliation Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) Familiarity with Inventory Accounting Understanding of Accruals Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team High attention to detail and accuracy in work Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
