Accountant with minimum 1YR Construction Industry Background

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated Accountant with a background in the construction industry to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for construction projects

Process invoices, payments, and payroll specific to construction activities

Assist in budget preparation and cost tracking for ongoing and upcoming projects

Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards

Support project managers and senior accountants with financial reporting and analysis

Monitor project expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of 1 year experience working as an accountant in the construction industry

Familiarity with construction accounting software and project management tools

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred Skills

Experience with job costing and contract billing

Knowledge of local tax regulations affecting the construction industry

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment
