Accounting Clerk

Description Robert Half is looking to bring an experienced, efficient Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional onto a growing team at a reputable company. You will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. Apply for this superb opportunity today. This is a short-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Gilroy, California area.Responsibilities

Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

Confirm documents and codes

Execute a number of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks

Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers

Provide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

Represent and exude the values, culture, and mission of the organization Requirements - Experience with ERP systems

Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills

Proven knowledge of Perform Ad Hoc Financial

Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)

Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

Good understanding of Accounting Functions

Practical knowledge of Segmentation

Well-founded grasp of Clerical Duties

Earlier work involving Subsidiary Ledger

Wide ranging experience with Reconcile Bank Account

Procedures experience required

Payment Processing experience

Comprehensive knowledge of reporting

Quality experience with Monthly Closings

General familiarity with Resolve Issues

2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred
