Description Robert Half Contracts Finance & Accounting division is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join a great Nonprofit organization in Sacramento!This Accounting Clerk would be working directly with the Accounting Manager handling tasks such as:First point of contact for document requests, invoices, check reprinting, tax formsRequests W9 for new vendors, ensures these are entered correctlyRoutes questions to the correct partyAssist with scanning and uploading documents in the appropriate foldersAnswers vendor questions by researching accounts (have invoices been paid, etc)Perform any other duties as assignedEducation & Experience:High school diploma requiredMinimum one (1) year of relevant experience requiredQualifications, Knowledge, Abilities:Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to type 30 words per minute.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Experience with accounting software.Must be able to learn other accounting software systemsAbility to maintain confidential and meticulous recordsAbility to make accurate mathematical calculationsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be sensitive to changing priorities and deadlinesAbility to work cooperatively with other departments to accomplish the goals and objectives of the departmentAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.This job is 100% on site and would start right away. If you feel this is the job for you, apply today!Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Enterprise, Oracle, and SAP. Proficient in Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets and financial reports. Strong experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Proven ability to perform account reconciliation and invoice processing. Experience in billing processes within a non-profit setting. Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Understanding of non-profit industry's financial regulations and standards. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in a similar role within a non-profit organization will be considered an asset. High ethical standards and professionalism, as they will be handling confidential information. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to collaborative problem solving.
