Accounting Manager

Description We are in the retail industry, specifically dealing with clothes and accessories, and are situated in San Francisco, California. We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team. The role will involve overseeing all accounting operations, including tasks related to accounting software systems, enterprise resource planning, and financial services. Key Responsibilities

Responsible for timely completion of month and year-end financial reporting close

Prepare account reconciliations and manual journal entries

Responsible for monthly close process for inventory, COGS, landed cost and related inventory variance and accrual accounts

Partner with Operations on the execution of the cycle count process for inventory at the physical locations

Partner with Engineering to implement inventory module in NetSuite

Understand and review sales tax and VAT rules to ensure the compliance with the local tax agencies

Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement and risks

Providing management with information key to the decision-making process

Lead GL team including hiring, training and performance evaluations

Assist in annual audit and tax reporting

Ad hoc projects and analyses as needed

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of work experience as an Accounting Manager

Excellent computer skills; experience in NetSuite, Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

E-Commerce industry experience, a plus

CPA, a plus

Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
