Description We are in the market for an Accounting Manager to join our team in Irvine, California. This role is central to our finance and accounting operations, interacting with various departments and international offices. The Accounting Manager will have a significant impact on our corporate finance activities, offering a unique opportunity to gain exposure to upper management and finance leaders globally.Responsibilities: Coordinate month-end tasks with the Corporate Finance and Accounting team, reviewing journal entries and supporting documents. Manage the cost accounting function to ensure accurate product costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. Oversee our month-end intercompany reconciliation process and resolve reconciling items. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, working closely with tax specialists on tax exposures. Assist in coordinating letters of credit drafts with the logistics team and track the status of collections. Lead the ERP implementation together with the Controller and FP& A manager, especially during the user testing phase. Participate in the annual financial audit by preparing audit schedules and workpapers. Assist in the preparation of supporting documents for annual corporate tax returns. Identify opportunities for improvements in our processes, primarily in automating recurring manual functions. Maintain a current understanding of system-generated entries related to inventory and COGS, reviewing for anything unusual. Requirements Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certification such as CPA would be an added advantage. Minimum of 7 years of experience in a managerial accounting role. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Adaptive Insights and Anaplan. Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Strong knowledge of data mining techniques. Experience with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). Demonstrated understanding of accounting functions and principles. Proven experience in annual budget preparation and management. Familiarity with budget processes and capital management. Ability to work with different business units and coordinate accounting efforts. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
