Description We are in search of a meticulous Accounting Manager/Supervisor to manage our financial operations in the Third-Party Logistics (3PL) industry based in Commerce, California. The Accounting Manager will be tasked with overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will also involve strong leadership skills to manage a team and collaborate effectively across departments.Responsibilities: Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations. Manage month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule. Coordinate and complete annual audits. Improve accounting systems and processes to enhance financial efficiency. Develop and maintain financial controls to mitigate risk and ensure accuracy of financial reporting. Manage and mentor accounting staff, including setting objectives, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback. Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives. Utilize various accounting software systems, ERP solutions, and other related skills to carry out responsibilities effectively. Handle accounting functions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and auditing tasks among others. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting Manager or Supervisor role Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions Knowledge of Extensive (3P Ability to handle various accounting functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential Auditing skills are a must Experience with billing functions is preferred Must have strong organizational and communication skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required Must be able to manage and lead a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Must possess strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients and team members Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is required Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations is necessary.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
