Accounting Specialist

Description We are in search of an Accounting Specialist to join our team within the Food & Food Processing industry in Visalia, California. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be handling a multitude of tasks including processing weekly payroll, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with the reconciliation of the payroll ledger. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately processing weekly payroll to ensure timely and consistent payment Utilizing Kronos and SAP systems to maintain and manage financial data Assisting with the reconciliation and balancing of the payroll ledger Leveraging strong Excel skills to create and manage complex spreadsheets Regularly updating and maintaining accurate financial records Responding to and resolving any payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner Utilizing strong analytical thinking skills to solve complex financial problems Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with various stakeholders Utilizing Microsoft Word, Access, and Outlook to efficiently manage tasks and communication Continuously improving processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracyRequirements Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the Food & Food Processing industry Proficiency in payroll management is mandatory Working knowledge of SAP software is required Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Excellent written and oral communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
