Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the construction industry, based in Sacramento, California, United States. In this role, you will be handling a high volume of payables, reviewing invoices, and processing check runs. You will also be responsible for account reconciliation and data entry tasks. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities Review and process a high volume of invoices for check issuance Conduct weekly check runs and prepare checks for mailing Assist with online invoice management for key vendors Perform vendor reconciliations and research past due balances as required Assist with bill pay transactions as needed Process small volume of bank deposits as necessary Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications Maintain accurate customer credit records Utilize various software systems including Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Yardi for account reconciliation and invoice processing. Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in an Accounts Payable role within the construction or contractor industry Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) Experience in performing Check Runs and Coding Invoices Strong data entry skills and experience in Invoice Processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience in using Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Yardi Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information High school diploma or equivalent, with further related training or qualifications being a plus.
