Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team located in San Diego, California. This role presents an opportunity to work on a long-term contract basis, supporting our ongoing project. The primary responsibilities will involve processing invoices, conducting check runs, and using our financial systems.Responsibilities: Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable tasks Accurately process a high volume of invoices on a monthly basis Conduct monthly check runs efficiently Utilize our financial systems, including Financial Edge and our proprietary system, for various tasks Maintain a proactive approach to work, seeking additional tasks when current assignments are completed Show a high level of reliability and commitment to the role Adhere to our office policy of limiting personal phone usage during work hours Demonstrate a detail-oriented approach to work, ensuring accuracy in all tasks Actively ask questions when necessary to ensure clarity and understanding of tasks Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and systems. Familiarity with general accounting procedures. Proficient in data entry and management. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills to adhere to deadlines. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Relevant certification or degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred. Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Accounts Payable.
