Description Applicants for the position Payroll Tax Associate should expect to perform the following duties, tasks, and responsibilities: · Manage and process payroll tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.· Conduct thorough research on tax-related issues and provide timely resolutions.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather payroll data and address tax-related inquiries.· Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, implementing necessary updates to ensure compliance.· Reconcile tax accounts and address discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.· Assist in responding to inquiries and audits from tax authorities.· Collaborate with external vendors to optimize tax filing processes and resolve any issues.· Generate reports and analyze payroll tax data for internal and external stakeholders.· Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.· Assist in special payroll projects and initiatives as needed.Requirements QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: · Possession of the Core Values: Drive, Ownership, Integrity, Teamwork, Trust· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.· Multi-state payroll tax filing experience· Proven experience in payroll tax compliance· Proven proficiencies in payroll, tax deposit, taxing authorities, and tax reporting · Proficient in payroll processing software and Microsoft Excel.· Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external clients · Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and effectively utilize resources · Ability to work well under strict time constraints, prioritize client issues, adapt quickly to changing needs, and is flexible when priorities shift. · Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.· Aptitude for detail, possesses effective troubleshooting and analytical skills.
