Accounts Payable Specialist

Description Manufacturing client is seeking to hire a contract Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to support the Accounts Payable department. This role can turn contract to hire. This position requires full-cycle accounts payable, management of the inbox, and excellent communications skills to work with multiple internal departments along with vendors. Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals Obtain proper approval of invoices Process 3-way match PO’s and non-PO invoices Prepare weekly vendor payments Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date Sort and distribute incoming accounting mail Maintain vendor database, collect new vendor W-9s and run vendor background checks Administration of year-end 1099’s reporting and filing Work closely with other departments and external customers to resolve billing related issues, including balance disputes and delinquencies Assist in ad hoc projects Requirements 2 or more years' experience doing full cycle accounts payable Systems savvy.
