Accounts Payable Specialist

Description AP Specialist to assist in focusing on AP after recapitalization and restructure.Position Summary:As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations. You will be responsible for processing and managing all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors while maintaining a high level of accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Invoice Processing:

Receive, review, and process invoices in a timely manner.

Verify the accuracy of invoices, including matching with purchase orders and delivery receipts.

Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.

Payment Processing:

Prepare and process weekly/monthly check runs and electronic payments.

Ensure all payments are made in accordance with established payment terms.

Reconcile vendor statements and address any outstanding issues.

Expense Reports:

Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Communicate with employees regarding any discrepancies or missing documentation.

Vendor Management:

Maintain positive relationships with vendors and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.

Assist in the setup of new vendors and ensure all required documentation is collected.

Month-End Closing:

Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable.

Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.

Assist with internal and external audits as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
