Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to support our finance team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in accounts payable to contribute to our growing organization.Position Overview:As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner, and will work closely with various departments to resolve any discrepancies.Key Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Review and reconcile accounts payable transactions.

Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

Maintain and update vendor records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Support audits and provide necessary documentation and reports.

Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounts payable processes.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.

Experience with [specific accounting software, if applicable] is a plus.

High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
