Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Long Beach, California. This role involves managing accounts payable and other duties such as overseeing bank accounts and ensuring all scheduled payments are made on time. The role will report directly to the CFO and requires working onsite for three days and remotely for two days each week.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all aspects of accounts payable Ensure all scheduled payments are made on time Maintain and manage bank accounts Work closely with senior management including the CFO Utilize software such as QuickBooks and Excel to produce reports and manage accounts Perform full cycle accounts payable duties including 3-way matching, batching, and coding invoices Provide confidentiality and support to executive management Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Requirements Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including use of advanced formulas and Macros Experience in handling full cycle Accounts Payable (AP) processes Familiarity with 3 Way Matching process in AP Ability to accurately code invoices Previous experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role or similar Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
