Accounts Payable Specialist

Description Robert Half Contracts Finance & Accounting is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a great company in the El Doraodo Hills area!This company works off a hybrid work schedule (once trained) and is looking for someone to join their team temporarily to hire. Responsibilities: Enter and code invoices for multiple clients into the accounting system daily Reviews all AP invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment Analyze and resolve outstanding AP vendor invoices/statements Code and process company credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation Assist in identifying monthly accruals and prepare journal entries for review Responsible for month end checklist and following the guidelines and procedures Maintain good relations with clients and vendors and responds to all inquiries Enter new vendors and maintain vendor master file Maintain accounts payable related electronic files such as invoices, new vendor forms, W9s, and direct deposit forms Manage various client accounts payable email boxes Support financial audits Assist the Sr. Accountant and Accounting Manager as requested Keep Supervisor informed of outstanding items/issues Other duties as assignedQualifications: Minimum High School Diploma (required) Degree in accounting (preferred) Minimum 5 years of experience Experience with accounts payable as well as general ledger Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks (or other accounting system) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Highly motivated, energetic, and result oriented professionally Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills Deadline and detail-orientedThe ideal person would have 4-5 years of Accounts Payable experience, would be able to work well with QuickBooks and have great customer service. If you feel this would be the job for you, apply today!Requirements Proficiency in account coding techniques and practices Comprehensive knowledge of various Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with Concur software system Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems Ability to perform all necessary accounting functions Prior experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) Knowledge of Accrual Accounting methods Experience in auditing and ensuring the accuracy of financial data Proficiency in Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Expertise in QuickBooks accounting software Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience in related field.
