Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist. This role involves managing our company's outgoing financial obligations, maintaining our financial records, and facilitating communication with our vendors.Responsibilities:

Overseeing the full cycle of accounts payable, including the accurate and timely processing of invoices.

Establishing and maintaining organized accounting systems.

Reconciling financial statements and transactions.

Posting transactions to ledgers and other necessary records.

Investigating and addressing discrepancies between invoices and available funds.

Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations through regular audits.

Managing vendor relationships by tracking invoices, enforcing prompt payments, and promptly responding to queries.

Assisting with the monthly and yearly closing procedures.

Digitizing accounts payable invoicing activities to improve process efficiencies.

Requirements

Proven experience in finance or accounting with a focus on accounts payable.

Strong understanding of general ledger systems and accounting/bookkeeping procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.

Experience using accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
