Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an AP Specialist/Accountant in Stockton, California. The successful candidate will be part of a team that handles accounting functions in a manufacturing setting. The role involves both accounts payable and receivable tasks, as well as general accounting duties and cash disbursement support. Responsibilities include: Accurately posting Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions. Conducting soft AR collection activities. Handling general accounting tasks, such as bank reconciliations and month-end reports. Providing support for cash disbursements. Managing high volume of AP invoices related to freight, storage, and materials. Utilizing accounting software systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools in performing tasks. Conducting auditing tasks and managing billing functions. Leveraging knowledge in ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, and Concur for efficient operation. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records. Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or field Proficiency in accounting software systems is a must Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required Familiarity with Ceridian and Concur software would be beneficial Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary Must be capable of performing key accounting functions Experience handling both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) is necessary Proficiency in auditing is required Must have experience with billing functions Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively Must have strong organizational and time management skills Must be capable of working independently and as part of a team.
