Job Title: ADAS - Sr. Engineer, ADAS/AD System Development

PrimaryClient Location – Santa Clara, California V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a

ADAS - Sr. Engineer, ADAS/AD System Development for our premier client in

Santa Clara, California. This is a

Long contract position.

Education and Experience »

Required:
  • +5 years of experience with ADAS/AD System development.
  • Bachelors Degree in computer science (Engineering or comparable).
  • Experience with C.
  • Proven experience in generating test catalogue and integration testing in ADAS/AD domain.
  • Expertise in embedded SW and its implementation in ADAS/AD domain.
  • Should be familiar with automotive communication standards (CAN, FlexRay and Ethernet) and their measurement systems.
  • Strong measurement data analysis skill.
  • Knowledge on industry development processes like SPICE and Scrum.
  • Knowledge of functional safety and SOTIF.

Desired:
  • Masters or PhD in in Engineering (computer science or comparable).
  • Knowledge of ADAS/AD features.
  • Experience with in-vehicle ADAS/AD feature verification and validation testing.
  • Experience with working in OEM environment.
  • Experience with working in cross-functional environment.
  • Basic German language skills (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of Simulation environment for ADAS/AD feature testing.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities »

Deployment and maintenance of the simulation environment (60%)
  • Deployment of the toolchain in our US office.
  • Maintaining the toolchain, including updates and changes according to changes in the SW interfaces.
  • Supporting and training team members on using the toolchain.
  • Planning, implementation and integration of components for simulation.
  • Implementing the parts to enable the testing (Dockerize SW components, prepare SW components for automation, write converters in C).

Test planning and coordination activities (20%)
  • Planning of testing activities in an agile framework from vehicle integration to SWE6 level, including test principles and aligned with GER project team.
  • Defining an US specific test plan including vehicle, system and software tests in accordance with function release milestones.
  • Ensuring that the test plan and test cases cover corresponding customer function, system and software requirements; track and trace coverage.

Coordination and execution of tests, tracking and reporting of results (20%).
  • Planning the resources for executing vehicle, system and SIL tests.
  • Executing tests on vehicle level, participating in test drives.
  • Executing tests on SIL level (simulation).
  • Tracking and tracing test coverage on vehicle, system and software level and adjust test cases if needed.
  • Reporting and tracking of found bugs.
