In this role you will get to provide programmatic, technical, and analytical support to the Missile Defense Agency Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) test team. You will support flight, ground, and cyber testing through all phases of its life cycle. Travel may be required.What You'll Be Doing: This position requires a highly motivated Analyst supporting MDA’s GMD Test Site Lead at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), CA under the GMD Test Organization, which has the overall responsibility for planning and execution of GMD system ground, flight, and cyber tests. This position will provide programmatic, technical, and analytical support for GMD test activities at VSFB to include test planning, test execution, test range coordination, test facilities management, and contracts management. Comprehensive knowledge of VSFB operations, infrastructure, and facilities is highly desired.
Support coordination and integration activities with VSFB range personnel to ensure range readiness to support GMD flight, ground, and cyber testing.
Support all test planning, execution, and analysis for GMD flight, ground, and cyber activities conducted at VSFB.
Perform programmatic and logistical support for test activities at VSFB to include range interface and coordination, test scheduling, test operations and execution, safety, and facility readiness and security.
Support the management, operations, and maintenance of GMD test facilities.
Support the management of GMD-contracted activities at VSFB to include review of practices, procedures, plans, specifications, designs, analysis, drawings, test procedures, reports, and other program documentation to evaluate compliance with technical guidelines and requirements.
Assist in facilitating communication across GMD 2-/3-Ltr staffs and Industry to ensure integration of effort in a multi-contract environment.
Coordinate Universal Documentation System (UDS) requirements and submittals, range task scheduling, range instrumentation support, and safety, environmental, and security procedures.
Monitor and support GMD component hardware/software receipt and processing at VSFB to include interceptor assembly, inspection, pre-mission testing, emplacement, launch-day activities, and post mission activities; and GMD Ground Systems (GS) hardware/software installation and checkout.
Support test integration and planning meetings, BMDS CONOPS Phase Reviews, data archival meetings, and ad hoc meetings as required.
Facilitate preparation of launch countdown procedures and support for instrumentation checkout and logistics planning between range, GMD program contractors, and GMD.
Coordinate VSFB GMD documentary photo and video requirements.
Facilitate coordination and approval of visitor access requests and credentials for visits to VSFB and MDA facilities.
Comprehensive knowledge of VSFB operations, infrastructure, and facilities is highly desired.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
BA/BS in with 7+ years relevant experience is required. Three years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for the BA/BS degree requirement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Active Secret Clearance Required.
