Afternoon Caregiver in Cerritos

Shift:

Monday to Friday Afternoon: 3:00pm to 6:00pm

Patient: 56-year old disabled woman, MR/CP. Great personality, funny and kind! Non Verbal, Non Ambulatory

Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years, or more, caregiving.

Transportation: Must have valid drivers license and dependable transportation.

Pay: Depends upon your experience. $18/hr

Languages: English

Basic Job Requirements:

1. Housekeeping - Dishes, Laundry, Bed Linen, General Housekeeping.

2. Transferring - From Wheelchair to/from the toilet, to/from Armchair, to/from Bed.

3. Toileting - Assistance with using the toilet. She is on a schedule and uses adult diapers overnight. Transfer, Hygiene, Record in Record Book

4. Afternoon Routine - Receive off Bus, Toilet, Snack and Set up in her Room for an activity (Movie, Music, Painting, Coloring, etc.), prepare for bed. General Housekeeping

5. Companionship - Caregiver will be with patient for mental stimulation and support

6. Female Caregivers Only

Qualifications:

5-8 yrs. Good communication and proficient understanding of English.

Registered with IHSS a plus but not required

Must provide two references for last two job assignments

Professional appearance and demeanor, on time and reliable is a must.
