Air & Ocean Import Coordinator

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Air & Ocean Import Coordinator based in Gardena, California. This role is situated in the logistics industry and requires a specialist capable of handling both air and ocean imports. The key job function is to ensure efficient and accurate processing of air and ocean imports, as well as maintaining high standards of customer service in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities: Oversee the A-Z bookings with a focus on customer service. Ensure accurate and timely processing of ocean imports, which constitute the majority of the workload. Handle air import tasks, which require a higher level of complexity and speed. Utilize Business systems such as CRM and ERP for efficient tracking and processing of imports. Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality service. Leverage skills in Cargowise and About Time for efficient operation. Maintain accurate records of customer credits and process credit applications as needed. Collaborate with a team of import professionals to handle workload efficiently. Use effective communication skills to resolve customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service. Manage customer accounts and take appropriate action based on company guidelines. Requirements Proficient in Business Systems Knowledge of Cargowise software Experience using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems Familiar with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and solutions Proficiency in 'About Time' software Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively Excellent Communication skills Outstanding Customer Service abilities Experience with Customs regulations and procedures Ability to work in a team and maintain professional relationships.
