AP Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team and help us achieve our mission.Position Overview:The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable operations. This position requires proficiency in Sage 100 and a strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling a high volume of transactions.Requirements Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Processing: Accurately process and manage all accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments to vendors.

Invoice Management: Review, verify, and enter invoices into Sage 100; ensure proper documentation and approval.

Vendor Relations: Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, including checks and ACH transactions.

Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable accounts to ensure accuracy.

Reporting: Generate and review accounts payable reports; assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies, as well as federal and state regulations; maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Audit Support: Assist in the preparation for audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.

Expense Management: Track and manage employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable function.
