Applications Support Engineer

Applications Support EngineerWe have an immediate need for an Applications Support Engineer to join our end-client, a law firm, located in Los Angeles, CA for a full-time, permanent position. This position will be responsible for day-to-day management and support of their enterprise systems, including working with vendors for upgrades and implementations. .

Location: Los Angeles, CA (3 days onsite)

This Job Pays: $125,000-150,000

What You Will Do:

Work on application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting, and roadmaps.
Provide direct oversight and management of various solutions as assigned.
Act as subject matter expert for those systems and provide technical support as needed. Ensure the health and stability of all solutions owned.
Monitor, track, and report on performance and capacity. Responsible for capacity planning.
Maintain current and accurate architecture and support documentation for use by both engineering teams and support staff.
Work with product vendors and procurement.
Work with QA on test scripts, procedures, and remediation.
Works overtime and after-hours as required. Participates in on call rotation for after-hours break/fix support.

What Gets You The Job:

5+ years of experience working with and supporting enterprise platform
Experience with desktop and mobile applications for their installation and configuration
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, IIS; understand ports & communications between application servers, database servers, etc.
Proficient knowledge of system integrations
Experience with SQL Server, SQL queries, and reporting
Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and application security (firewalls, certificates, etc.)
Experience with scripting using PowerShell is preferred
