Technician Helper
Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $20 - $25 / hour
What you'll be doing as a Technician Helper:
Debrief with technician regarding the tasks/ work for the day
Help pre-load and load at the beginning of the day
Unload materials/ clean truck at the end of the day
Unload deliveries when needed
Clean shop/ yard when asked
Call ahead to customers
Provide excellent customer service – generate more Raving Fans
Research products and ask questions about work to be carried out
Learn materials we prefer to use
Fill in timecards
Assist technician with tasks/ work required
Climb ladders and work at heights with Fall Protection
Drive company trucks and be able to pull trailers
Prepare materials as per instructions given
Ask questions about work being carried out
Learn industry materials and product names
Assist with clean up
Provide excellent customer service – generate more Raving Fans
Available shifts:
Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:
Be on time and be personally prepared for the day ahead
Wear required Personal Protection Equipment (Safety gear)
Working with hand tools, powered tools and company equipment
Lift up to 75lbs
Must have a clean driving record, must be mechanically inclined
Background check and drug screening required
Administration/ customer service
Primary Job Functions:
Opening and preparing the office for business each morning.
Scheduling each day’s work assignments for our residential technicians
Reviewing work assignments with each member of the installation team before
they leave the office to perform the day’s work, reviewing address, location, and
job details.
Contacting homeowners to receive access confirmation for the day’s jobs.
Reviewing previous day’s work when problems occur with the Production
Manager
Reviewing upcoming jobs and notify the Production Manager if there are
perceived issues with the work
Answering any queries from builders or residential customers as they come up
during the business day.
Secondary Job Functions:
Maintaining bi-weekly record of materials inventory
Reviewing inventory and order accessories or installation materials as needed.
Reviewing truck status of trucks with installers regarding tool inventory, material
requirements, and vehicle maintenance status.
Coordinate training meetings with the Ventura office as required to address both
product and processes.
Reviewing overall warehouse status on a regular basis.
Regularly reviewing inventory status of spare parts and doors for install
Periodically meeting with the General Manager regarding office procedures and
processes.
Attending safety meetings, as required.
Managing warranty process with all suppliers for defective or damaged material.
Conducting an annual inventory of materials on-hand.
Participating in the business planning process as requested by the management
team.
Daily contact with residential customers.
Daily contact with builders and contractors.
Regular contact with door and material suppliers.
Periodic contact with outside vendors
Position Qualifications:
Must have understanding of scheduling, delegation, problem resolution, and
supervisory experience.
Must have mechanical aptitude and experience in door opening systems which
allow for the successful achievement of the assigned business goals and
objectives.
Must posses a current valid CA driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a standard drug test.
Must be able to read and write legibly and accurately.
Must be able to communicate over a telephone – landline and cellular.
Must be able to communicate in English.
Must have basic arithmetic skills to allow basic addition and subtraction.
Must have neat appearance.
