AR Specialist

Description Robert Half is seeking an AR Specialist to join our finance team! As an AR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our accounts receivable operations. You will be responsible for processing customer invoices, managing customer accounts, reconciling payments, and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in our Great Plains accounting system. Invoice Generation and Distribution: Prepare and distribute accurate and timely invoices to clients.

Payment Processing: Accurately record and process incoming payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers.

Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

Customer Communication: Communicate with customers regarding overdue accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on accounts receivable status, aging reports, and other relevant metrics.

Collections: Follow up on outstanding invoices and implement collection procedures.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts receivable transactions.

Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.· Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.· Customer Service Orientation: Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitudeRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
