Responsibilities:
  • Support Expert Analysts screen incoming reports for differential analysis and time critical aviation hazards
  • Assist in de-identification of reports to assure reporter anonymity
  • Selection of topical and timely reports for us in ASRS’s CALLBACK publication
  • Assist in Quick-Response efforts as required.
  • Assist in reviewing taxonomy gaps, draft communications, draft quarterly presentations / charts as required

Requirements:
  • Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
  • Technical writing skills
  • Ability to successfully complete a background investigation required to obtain NASA badge
  • Ability to work remotely or in an office as required.
  • Must be able to locally commute to work location in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a non-telecommuting position.

Interpersonal Skills:
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented

Education and Experience:
  • Private Pilot's license (or in progress) or higher,
  • FAA Part 107 Certified Pilot, desired
  • B.S. degree or enrolled in a collegiate program and/or technical program of study
  • Broad knowledge of Aviation industry Manned Aircraft Systems / unmanned Aircraft)
  • Broad knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, maintenance regulations, and FAA Controller Policy.

Notes: Currently work is being conducted remotely. Applicants must be able to work on site in the Sunnyvale, CA area when CA COVID work restrictions are lifted.
