Description Robert Half is looking for an achievement-oriented Assistant Controller to join a well-respected company. The Assistant Controller reports to the Controller on accounting staff updates. Test and produce Ad Hoc financial reports

Support the accounting team during the closing process to confirm deadlines are met

Backfill for Controller as needed

Alternative duties as requested

Support implementation and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures

Participate with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting

Direct to ensure a competent, trained staff through goal setting, development, and regular assessment

Establish relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

Refined preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits

Pinpoint and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency

Foster accountability and the meeting of deliverables

Develop an assortment of policies, technical accounting analyses, and procedures

Confirm regular account reconciliation to completion

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and IIA standards

Remarkable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

5+ years of general ledger accounting experience

CPA certification a plus

Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

Extensive knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

Monthly Financial Statements experience required

Bank reconciliations experience

Manufacturing experience desired

Deep understanding of month end closings
