Assistant Controller, Private Equity

Description Title: Assistant Controller Location: Menlo Park Hybrid if local Salary: $170-220k base (Depending on Experience/level) + BonusAbout the Company: Leading private equity firm based in Menlo Park, CA, primarily focused on high-growth technology and related companies.Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the capital call and distribution process for private equity funds, including developing timelines, coordinating with teams and external administrators, preparing/reviewing waterfall calculations, and reviewing call/distribution calculations.

Administer multiple systems utilized by the Accounting/Operations team – including fund accounting systems, investor CRM database, investor portal, document management system, and other automation initiatives.

Coordinate with deal teams and provide input on fund administration/accounting.

Requirements

Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Accounting is preferred with CPA certification.

Minimum of 10 years of Accounting experience.

Big 4 accounting firm experience is preferred.

Knowledge and experience with private equity/venture capital investment partnership accounting.

Strong technical accounting skills (US GAAP).
