Compensation: $35 - $45 DOE
Employment type: Full-time, in person, exempt.
Benefits: Ten paid holidays a year, 80 hours paid time off, 40 hours sick time. Robust health and life insurance with $450 of employee's monthly paid by employer and $450 per month paid towards dependents if applicable. Dental insurance is available for a small cost to employee. Employer will match up to 3% of annual salary for deposits into Simple IRA retirement account or Dependent Care Flex Savings (used to pay for qualified child and dependent care) whichever suits them better.
Minimum level of education and experience required:
Bachelor’s degree required. Masters in accounting business or applied economics preferred. Three years
minimum construction related experience (development, commercial, or residential). If possible please
provide your Gross Profit target vs actuals reporting history with resume to show financial outcomes of
projects managed and track record of job costing knowledge and results.

Job Skills & Qualifications Required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Owns preconstruction phase of the project and uses this time to have the most impact on project.
Completely comprehend contract documents such as: Prime Contract, General Conditions, Specifications.
Ability to find discrepancies within the Documents which result in needed Contract changes.
Ability to write RFPs and RFIs in a manner which leads to desired responses. The buck stops with you.
Strong track record meeting or exceeding margins on a per-project basis.
Strong track record of minimizing change orders and ability to plan ahead.
Excellent resource, planning, and time management skills.
Superior management and delegation capabilities.
Extremely tech savvy and excited by technology. Software we expect you to rely on heavily: JobTread, ChatGPT, Google Suite, Excel, WhatsApp.
Willing and able to communicate with ownership to form a consensus on major issues and decisions. The buck stops with you.
Hold subcontractors accountable to their scopes of work.
Ability to understand when a change order is needed and guide this process with clients and field staff.
Ability to create change orders with the company’s specified profit margins.
Comfort and extreme ownership of high-level financial responsibilities.
Soft skills: Extremely reliable, excellent attendance to work. First one in, last one to leave.
Willingness to use our systems and learn new software if needed. Expected to be checking and responding to all forms of electronic communication quickly throughout the day.
Job Responsibilities
Preconstruction management and oversight.
Help oversee construction projects from conception to completion while monitoring compliance with safety and building regulations.
Hold employees and subs accountable for meeting expectations and be transparent in reporting results.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
Coordinate with Production Manager, Project Manager, subcontractors, and the construction team to meet contractual conditions of performance.
Prepare external and internal reports relating to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.
Negotiate agreement terms, manage construction contract drafts, bid on projects, and obtain permits to analyze and mitigate risks.
Communicate with the responsible parties to ensure quality construction exceeds company standards and proper industry techniques and processes are utilized, while ensuring the client’s needs and wants are efficiently met.
Work with Project Manager to review projects on a daily basis to ensure quality construction standards exist and estimates remain within budget.
Supervise construction projects to ensure they are completed on time and exceed the customer’s requirements.
Work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment to plan and coordinate all aspects of the building process from hiring contractors to working with engineers, architects, and vendors.
Exhibit leadership skills: in the office, with work ethic, high-level planning and communication, initiating job walks with subcontractors, directing timelines with team members, leveraging project management software and AI, customer service activity initiation (make sure clients are being communicated with and cared for), scheduling progress check-ins with President, and synergy meetings with team.
