By helping our customers tackle their problems you will help us achieve our mission to make the world a cleaner, healthier, safer placeAssociate Account ManagerDigital Science sales professionals drive collaborative solutions for customer challenges, selling projects for end-to-end product, software and service capabilities which span complete scientific workflows. As Account Manager you are charged with enhancing the reach of our commercial organization, driving revenue growth within our Division. You will influence other functions too, including product management, solutions development and services, to ensure we meet our yearly targets.A day in the life:

Respond efficiently and promptly to leads and customer requests

Establish connections at multiple levels and across all collaborators to build solution credibility.

Expand existing opportunities and develop new ones to meet/exceed targets.

Develop and maintain knowledge of our industry to strategically position our products and services.

Establish a professional, consultative relationship with our customers and partners by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of each.

Use sales resources efficiently and work as a team to lead sales opportunities.

Collaborate on proposal development, negotiations and deal closings.

How will you get there:

Highly developed consultative selling and collaboration skills.

Ability to conceptualize and articulate well-targeted solutions from proposal to contract sign-off.

Ability to progress multiple deals through a sales cycle concurrently

Well-developed interpersonal skills and business insight, with a clear understanding of Science and digital solutions for laboratories.

Collaborate effectively with other groups within Thermo Fisher to implement appropriate strategies to address business opportunities and overcome obstacles.

Flexibility with remote-working patterns (global calls) and travel needs with the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Education

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in any Life Science and/or Computer Science field or five years equivalent validated experience

Experience

5+ years’ sales experience, preferably in the Laboratory Software Solutions, LIMS, ELN, SDMS working with industries such as Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Environmental, Food & Beverage, and/or Chemicals with knowledge of the laboratory

Experience and knowledge of enterprise scientific software implementation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Proven knowledge with commercial operations with complex sales cycles.

Must be an effective communicator in person and via phone/video conference

The salary range estimated for this position is $xxx,xxx - $xxx,xxx. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
