Maxar is currently seeking an Associate Communication Systems Engineer to join our Communication Systems Engineering team in Palo Alto, CA.

What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):

Participates in the development of RF system test procedures and performs routine RF system test analysis under the guidance of more senior engineers
Prepares standard documentation for review by more senior engineers
Performs system integration trade studies and analysis under the direction of more senior engineers
Identifies technical problems and recommends solutions
Supports RF system level test activities
Hands on involvement in the testing and troubleshooting of the RF payload during spacecraft integration and test
Evaluates RF payload test data vs. design requirements and, based on the results, recommends further actions

Minimum requirements for this position:

Must =
Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related STEM field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
Familiarity with RF related analysis or RF test experience
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office

These skills would be amazing:

Experience with C, VBA, or Python
Understanding of and proficiency in the use of computer aided design tools such as Microwave Office and ADS
