This position will be located in Palmdale CA, El Segundo CA, Redondo Beach CA, Oklahoma City, OK or San Diego CA.The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Product Support organization .Essential Functions:The selected candidate will perform the following, including, but not limited to:
Reliability and Maintainability – Ensure the warfighter meets the objectives set forth in the weapons specification.
Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Establishing, monitoring, and verifying subsystem Reliability & Maintainability performance requirements for all design changes and new development efforts
Develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis.
This requisition may be filled at either anAssociate Systems Engineer(T01) or Systems Engineer(T02).Basic Qualifications for an Associate Systems Engineer (T01)A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
Basic Qualifications for a Systems Engineer (T02)A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of engineering experience.
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
Preferred Qualifications for both an Associate Systems Engineer / Systems Engineer
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Pay Range
Associate Systems Engineer: $57,400.00 - $105,400.00
Systems Engineer: $69,500.00 - $127,400.00
