Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Auditing Clerk in the health care and pension plan sector of the entertainment industry. Based in Los Angeles, California, this role involves meticulous auditing tasks, credit checks, and customer service interactions. Responsibilities: Conduct detailed payroll audits for production companies, ensuring contributions comply with Trust Agreements and Collective Bargaining Agreements. Review and verify audit reports prepared by external audit firms for accuracy and completeness. Draft billing letters in line with the Plan’s collection and schedule policy, ensuring accuracy and professionalism. Handle disputed claims with signatory companies or members in a respectful, timely manner. Assist in research and allocation of payments received as a result of audit billings. Prepare and present consideration packages to the Legal and Delinquency committee and the Authenticity sub-committee. Schedule audits, perform necessary field work and research, prepare preliminary audit findings, and resolve any differences with the auditee. Maintain status reports for each audit and ensure audits are closed on a timely basis. Analyze and review reports prepared by external auditors, compute interest and/or audit fees, prepare final billing and draft billing letters. Assist in following up on billing which includes documenting phone calls, researching and resolving any claims. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must Understanding and experience with Accounting Functions Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures Prior experience in Auditing is necessary Ability to handle Check Processing tasks efficiently High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical skills and ability to identify errors Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrated problem-solving skills Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
