Job Title: Automation Network Engineer Location: Rosemead, CaliforniaDuration: 6 Months CTH POSITION OVERVIEWThe Network Engineer Senior Specialist resides in the Grid & Telecom Operations which is responsible for the operational health and performance of the Enterprise data wide area network, wireless field area network (Netcomm), grid data and transport telecommunications infrastructure and the Telecommunications and Grid Security Operations Centers. The primary responsibility of this role will be the administration, management, and optimization of the Network Tools portfolio. This will help to ensure a highly reliable networking infrastructure.As the Network Engineer Senior Specialist, you will provide operational analysis and support for SCE’s network data infrastructure. You will contribute input on design, installation and operation of LAN, and backbone network infrastructure. You will provide recommendations to senior staff on process improvements with regard to network monitoring and network reliability; conduct code evaluations including testing and documenting strategy for production implementation. You will coordinate with stakeholders to determine the best change work windows for code implementations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Configure services on all CISCO LAN/Backbone hardware including: Routers/Switches and other network appliances or monitoring tools.
• Assist with network performance tuning and administration.
• Provision and deploy new CISCO routers, switches in the Network.
• Document operational processes and procedures.
• Resolve operational issues involving all components of CISCO based network infrastructure.
• Prepare and maintain up to date documentation for configuration of deployed solutions.
• Troubleshoot and identify root causes of network incidents.
• Adhere to all aspects of compliance requirements for networking devices.
• Participate in production support and in on-call duties.
• Ability to travel when required within SCE service territory to restore networking devices.

• Five (5) years’ of experience in Network Services performing Operational activities; incident recovery and analysis; project support and providing Operational recommendations.
• Plus two (2) years Networking Tools Administration on NetScout, NetMri, Broadcom Tools (Spectrum, Performance Center, NFA), CISCO DNA Center, Splunk, or other similar network management tools.
• Hands-on knowledge of networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP, Traffic Policies Configurations and Netflow Configurations.

• Bachelor’s degree.
