- Deploy and manage Redshift data warehouses in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment.
- Perform Redshift data warehouse maintenance, optimization, and configuration tuning in AWS cloud environment.
- Automate provisioning, operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Redshift data warehouses in AWS cloud environment.
- Perform Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution in accordance with RPO/RTO and defined SLAs.
- Provide support and guidance to project and application support teams
- Maintain and support Redshift data Warehouses
- Monitor and troubleshoot Redshift platform issues and performance tuning
- Support security policies, documentation and compliance
- Document processes and policies for Redshift Administration and support activities
- Work with end users to identify and resolve issues
- Work with vendors to resolve issues as needed
- Provide governance and support to project teams
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for cloud data warehouse management and big data workloads.
- Create and maintain current and target state cloud database and big data architectures.
- Define and manage cloud data warehouse and big data technology standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data quality.
- Ensure cloud data warehouse and big data technology solutions are in alignment with data architecture principles and target state.
- 8+ years managing enterprise level database and data warehouse environments along with data modelling and data analysis.
- 8+ years of experience developing Data Warehousing reference architecture, principles and standards.
- 8+ years of experience with relational database technologies and administration (SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Teradata, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience with Redshift database administration and data modelling (performance tuning, indexing and database/query optimization for high-speed big data consumption).
- 5+ years of experience working with AWS services for large datasets (EMR, S3, CLI, CloudWatch, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience with ETL, data integration, and other business intelligence tools like Informatica, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- 3+ years of experience with PostgreSQL database administration and data modelling.
- 2+ years of experience with Python scripting and ID federation.
- Desired Certifications: AWS Certified Data Analytics-Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional, AWS Certified Database-Specialty, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Machine Learning-Specialty.
