Job Title: AWS/Cloud Integrations Technical Lead Duration: Long Term Location: South San Francisco, CA The role is required to be onsite 2-3 days/week Scope of Work:
- Provide technical leadership and solution for the medical field Data and Insights initiatives pertaining to AWS/Cloud data migration, Data Integrations from Source to destination, Data Modelling, ETL, Data Reporting tools (Qlik, Tableau etc.)
- Working with Data Vendors to ensure their infrastructure is aligned with Genentech's best practices.
- Working with Operations team to resolve issues and provide third-level support
- Engage and collaborate with global groups and governance to ensure solutions are delivered in a timely manner
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment.
- Experience in cloud database (AWS)
- Experience working with data/technology vendors
- Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration.
- Experience with data and data integration solutions (ETL)
- Experience leading teams in integration and reporting/analytics workstreams
- Experience working with a global organization supporting local business partners
- Experience with Agile development methodologies such as XP/SCRUM.
- A desire to work with the latest tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Pharma knowledge a plus
- Experience working with Machine learning, AI/NLP/Predictive analytics technology is a big plus.
- Leading technical teams to Design, develop and maintain solutions using agile delivery methodology and lean-agile mindset .
- Use enterprise design principles and best practices thus ensuring the build of scalable and efficient solutions.
- Collaborate with the rest of the scrum team to efficiently deliver products and help estimate user stories and story refinement.
- Proactively engage in continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, and practice development efforts.
- Provide critical thinking and sound judgment on strategic and tactical approaches to solutions and operational excellence.
- Show up with an enterprise mindset and ensure work is not being done in silos. Be a systems thinker and look at the big picture while determining the best solution.
- Participate in efforts to develop and execute testing, training and documentation.
- Willing to be hands-on in producing tangible deliverables (requirements specifications, design deliverables, status reports, project plans).
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) and maintain updated ticketing for events, incidents, requests, changes, problems, etc.
