The Azure Security Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the security of Azure-based systems and infrastructure. This is a 4-6 month contract that will require some travel to the client site located in Dublin, CA. The role includes the following key responsibilities:

Design and implement network security solutions such as Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Firewall, and Azure ExpressRoute.
Configure and manage storage service encryption for Azure Storage and Azure Data Lake Storage.
Implement and manage Azure Key Vault for secure storage of cryptographic keys and secrets.
Configure and manage disk encryption for Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Disk Encryption.
Implement and manage Azure Traffic Manager for load balancing and traffic routing.
Configure and manage Log Analytics and Azure Security Center for security monitoring and alerting.
Create and manage Azure Policy and Azure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for controlling access to Azure resources.
Configure and manage Azure VPN gateways for secure connectivity to on-premises resources.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of Azure security services and best practices, as well as hands-on experience implementing and managing these services. They should also have experience with security technologies such as firewalls, encryption, and VPNs, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
