Backend Engineer / Bay Area

Job Description A multinational financial services company is looking to hire a Backend Java Software Engineer to join their growing team in San Francisco. This team is responsible for developing the high scale APIs for the platform in which all transactions across the company filter through. As a senior member of this Agile team, you will have the opportunity to design and develop code and lead a team of junior engineers through platform release sprints. The ideal candidate has a strong Java background, experience in a microservices-based environment, and prior involvement in the development of high transaction APIs. Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field
• 4+ years of modern Java development experience
• Spring Boot for microservices
• Relational and/or NoSQL database experience
• Experience using Docker and Kubernetes for containerization
• Design and implementation of Restful APIs experience
• Agile methodologies

• In-memory computation
• Event Driven and Reactive Programming
• OpenShift experience
• Knowledge of payments and/or financial systems

• Competitive Salary: $165-180K/yr DOE
