Responsibilities:• Oversight of system functionality, including troubleshooting all issues• Configuration and set-up for annual open enrollment, life events, new benefits plans and features, earnings & deduction codes, and rates• Research discrepancies and identify solutions that meet objectives• Create UAT testing scripts and manage related user testing; coordinate with vendor and HRIS team as necessary.• Research and analyze workflow for administrative efficiencies and user-friendly functionality• Track performance to ensure expected election functionality; correct underperformance• Schedule automated data interfaces for alignment with stated outcomes and vendor deadlines; oversee and coordinate with vendor and HRIS.• Prepare and maintain documentation of system-related processes and configuration.• Evaluate existing and/or new applications and perform functionality analysis and workflow evaluation as neededRequirements:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience administering health and welfare benefits programs.
  • Experience with benefits plan design and interfacing with vendors and service providers.
  • Demonstrated experience with administration of various HR software applications and/or online benefits administration systems
  • Good knowledge and demonstrated experience administering ERISA health & welfare plans.
  • Demonstrated experience of HR systems applications, implementation, configuration, and report-writing.
  • Good knowledge and familiarity with benefit plan concepts, laws, administrative practices and processes including IRC Section 125 Cafeteria plans, Section 129 discrimination testing, and Affordable Care Act requirements.
  • Good knowledge of notice and disclosure requirements (e.g., SMMs, SPDs), discrimination testing, regulatory notices, government filings, etc.
  • Experience and familiarity with ERISA, EGTRRA, USSERA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using automated benefits administration systems such as UltiPro, PeopleSoft a plus
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; ability to build cross-functional collaboration; customer service oriented.
