Billing Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in Agoura Hills, California. This role is in the industry of finance and involves managing customer billing and receivables in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Review collections and conduct follow-ups Review invoices before client submission to ensure compliance with client-specific guidelines Manage appeals by reviewing reductions taken by clients and determining if the reduction is appropriate or if an appeal is necessary Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as needed Utilize computerized billing systems for efficient processing of customer credit applications Maintain accurate customer credit records through regular updates and audits Handle customer inquiries and resolve billing issues promptly Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting Answer inbound calls and provide excellent customer service Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements Proficiency in computerized billing systems Experience in handling and responding to inbound calls Knowledge and skills in billing collection processes Familiarity with appeal processes and procedures Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions Ability to work independently and as part of a team High degree of professionalism and ethics Commitment to continuous learning and improvement Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but not mandatory.
